A review of fairy tales in the heart of Montefeltro
Andar per Fiabe is the theatre circuit for families that, season after season, brings shows for children to the historic theatres of the province of Pesaro and Urbino. In Sassocorvaro Auditore, a municipality in Montefeltro in the province of Pesaro and Urbino (Marche), the review stops at the Teatrino della Rocca Ubaldinesca, the theatre space created within the famous circular Renaissance fortress designed by Francesco di Giorgio Martini.
The full title of the project is Andar per Fiabe! Fantastic stories in the province's theatres: a tried-and-tested formula that brings together Italian and international companies specializing in children's theatre, many of which are multi-award-winning. Prose, storytelling, dance, circus, puppet theatre, and shadow theatre alternate in a Sunday programme designed for children and their families.

The performances are usually held on Sunday afternoons, starting at 5:00 PM, in an intimate theatre that brings children closer to the stage. Each event is a self-contained show, chosen from the most recognized productions in children's theatre: animated stories, sound fairy tales, light and shadow plays that speak the language of children without sacrificing artistic quality.
Who organises it
The review is promoted by AMAT - Associazione Marchigiana Attività Teatrali together with the Municipality of Sassocorvaro Auditore and other municipalities in the area, with the contribution of the Ministry of Culture and the Marche Region. The network involves numerous centres in the province of Pesaro and Urbino, from Pesaro to Urbino, from Fano to Gradara, as well as inland villages like Sassocorvaro Auditore, Macerata Feltria, and Sant'Angelo in Vado.

Andar per Fiabe — edition 2026
The 2025-26 edition of Andar per Fiabe stopped in Sassocorvaro Auditore on Sunday 10 May 2026, at 5:00 PM, at the Teatrino della Rocca Ubaldinesca. On stage was Alla ricerca di un mondo morbido by Teatro dell'Elce, a study on shadow theatre that combines singing, storytelling, and fairy tales.
The show, conceived and performed by Monica Santoro and Eva Miškovičová, follows two small characters who traverse three different worlds, each with distinct sonic and tactile qualities: one soft, one rigid and noisy, one populated by monstrous archetypes. A poetic journey into the childhood imagination, suitable for families with children.

Where
Teatrino della Rocca Ubaldinesca, Sassocorvaro Auditore (PU), in the Pesaro hinterland of Montefeltro. The Rocca overlooks the historic centre of the village.
How to get there
By car: from the Fano-Grosseto dual carriageway (E78) take the exit for the Sassocorvaro area, then follow signs for the centre. The nearest train station is Pesaro, from where you can continue by car or public transport towards the hinterland.
Tickets
The shows have affordable ticket prices (around 5 euros, with reductions for children). Advance tickets available on the Vivaticket circuit; theatre box office open on the day of the show starting one hour before the performance.
