Ancient Fair of Carmignano

Autunno con Gusto 2025

The 2025 Ancient Fair of Carmignano was the centerpiece of the "Autunno con Gusto" festival, held between November 28th and December 10th. The program alternated between cultural and gastronomic moments: the inauguration of a painting exhibition in the Council Chamber, antique and craft markets at the former Niccolini cellars and in Piazza Matteotti, and meetings dedicated to the link between art and food in the Montalbano territory.

The main day of the fair, set as per tradition around the first Tuesday of December, featured the large market exhibition of Montalbano food and wine products: dried figs of Carmignano, Carmignano DOCG wine, extra virgin olive oil, along with guided tastings, hill excursions, and cooking demonstrations with local chefs and hospitality institutes. The event confirmed its role as a showcase for the rural identity of Carmignano, a small town in the Province of Prato, Tuscany.

2025 Program ("Autunno con Gusto" festival):

• Friday, November 28th — Inauguration of the painting exhibition in the Council Chamber
• Sunday, November 30th — Antique, Christmas, and craft markets at the former Niccolini cellars and in Piazza Matteotti; cultural meeting dedicated to the relationship between art and gastronomy
• Tuesday, December 2nd — Main day of the fair: market exhibition of Montalbano food and wine products and a photography exhibition dedicated to the wine territory
• Sunday, December 7th — Guided excursions, tastings, and cooking shows with chefs from the "F. Datini" Hospitality Institute of Prato

In recent editions, the program has also included falconry displays in Piazza Matteotti, a farm with barnyard animals, an exhibition of vintage tractors, and cooking shows dedicated to typical products.
