The festival celebrating the wines of the Upper Caserta region in Castel Campagnano
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Alta Campania Wine Fest is a vibrant food and wine event held in Castel Campagnano, a small town in the province of Caserta, Campania. Hosted in the scenic Parco Comunale La Peschiera, the event was created to highlight a vast and unique territory that has often remained off the main wine circuits: the Upper Caserta region and its four viticultural areas, Roccamonfina, Massico, Matese, and the Monti Trebulani-Tifatini.
The heart of the festival lies in the tasting tables of local wineries, which offer the public over ninety different labels. The absolute stars are the indigenous grape varieties that make this corner of Campania unique: Casavecchia, Pallagrello Nero, and Pallagrello Bianco, ancient grapes rediscovered and promoted over the last few decades. The festival brings together wineries from eight municipalities in the areaโPontelatone, Castel Campagnano, Caiazzo, Piana di Monte Verna, Formicola, Liberi, Castel di Sasso, and Ruvianoโall involved in a collective effort to map and valorize the territory.
Alongside the tasting stands, the festival features a food truck area with gourmet street food designed to pair perfectly with the wines, as well as masterclasses, talks, and meetings with producers, journalists, and guests from the food and wine world. There are also cocktail bars, DJ sets, and musical performances that keep the atmosphere lively until late at night, creating an experience that blends tasting, social connection, and cultural insight.
The Alta Campania Wine Fest is promoted by the Asso Alta Campania association, which brings together young local producers united by the desire to authentically share the bond between wine, local communities, and the landscape. More than just a fair, the event aims to be a tool for regional promotion and growth for an emerging wine area, fostering dialogue between companies, institutions, and enthusiasts. For the Municipality of Castel Campagnano and the entire province of Caserta, it represents a valuable opportunity for visibility and wine tourism.
The 2026 edition of the Alta Campania Wine Fest has not yet been officially confirmed. The event's website remains active after the successful first edition in September 2025, but it does not yet list specific dates for a new appointment. We recommend checking the official website and the social media profiles of the Asso Alta Campania association to learn about the program as soon as it is published.
Castel Campagnano is located in the Upper Caserta region, in the province of Caserta. By car, it can be reached from the nearest motorway exit by following the provincial roads of the Volturno Valley. The reference railway station is Caiazzo-Alvignano on the local line.
For the 2025 edition, free parking was available at the IC Caiatino school, approximately 150 meters from the park entrance.
In the 2025 edition, the daily entrance fee was 20 euros; masterclasses were paid separately (25 euros) and not included in the entrance ticket; admission was free for children. Please check the official website and the event's social media channels for the latest updates.
