About Almè Festival

Between the end of August and the beginning of September, the Oratory of Almè, at the gates of Val Brembana in the province of Bergamo, transforms into the beating heart of the town with its Festival. For almost three weeks, about two hundred volunteers liven up the kitchen, grill, pizzeria, and bar, while inflatables, a charity raffle, and evening entertainment delight families and young people. Part of the patronal celebrations of the Blessed Virgin Mary, it is one of the most attended oratory festivals in the Bergamo area.

The festival that unites the town

In Almè, a municipality in the province of Bergamo at the entrance to the Val Brembana, the Oratory Festival is the highlight event of the late summer. For almost three weeks, between the second half of August and the first few days of September, the Oratory of Almè on Via Conciliazione becomes the meeting point for the entire community.

Two hundred volunteers at the stoves

The engine of the festival is the approximately two hundred volunteers who take turns in the kitchen, grill, pizzeria, and bar service, active every evening from 7:00 PM (closed on Mondays). The gastronomic offering is the generous and informal kind typical of Bergamo oratory festivals, designed to welcome families and groups of friends.

Inflatables, raffles, and entertainment

In addition to food, the Almè Festival offers inflatable games for the little ones, a charity raffle, and evening entertainment that enlivens the festival weeks. The event is part of the patronal celebrations of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

An oratory tradition

The Almè Festival is an example of the vibrant tradition of oratory festivals in the province of Bergamo, where the oratory is not only a place of faith but also the center of the town's social life. For those in the area at the end of summer, it is an opportunity to experience the authentic conviviality of the Bergamo region.
