Cinema and archaeology between Adria and the Po Delta
Adrikà is the International Archaeological Film Festival of Adria and the Po Delta, in the province of Rovigo. Born in 2025 from an idea by the Circolo del Cinema Carlo Mazzacurati and hosted by the National Archaeological Museum of Adria, it is realized with the artistic direction of the archaeological film festival of Licodia Eubea.
The program features international films, documentaries, and short films, meetings, and performances, with the special feature of screenings of silent films accompanied by live jazz music. The festival combines dissemination and quality, aimed at enthusiasts, students, and the curious.
Adrikà involves not only Adria but also the Municipalities of Porto Viro, Loreo, and Fratta Polesine, with the Frattesina site, and provides space for educational projects with schools, such as 'Etruscreen' with the Bocchi-Galilei high school. It is, to date, the only initiative of its kind in Veneto.
The second edition of Adrikà will take place from September 9 to 13, 2026, extending beyond Adria to the Municipalities of Porto Viro and Loreo, and reaching Fratta Polesine, with the Frattesina site. The program aims to consolidate a cultural model that combines archaeology, cinema, music, and schools.
The detailed program with the competing titles and times will be announced by the Circolo del Cinema Carlo Mazzacurati in the weeks preceding the festival.
