Mannarino's big concert at the Santa Sofia River Park
The Giorgio Zanniboni River Park in Santa Sofia, a small town in the upper Bidente valley in the province of Forlì-Cesena, transforms into an open-air stage for one evening. On Sunday, August 2, 2026, Mannarino (Alessandro Mannarino), one of the most beloved and recognizable singer-songwriters on the Italian scene, will perform, marking the only date in Emilia-Romagna of his summer tour. The concert is one of the events of the XIV edition of acieloaperto, the widespread festival that brings great music to beautiful locations in Romagna every summer.
Founded in 2013 by the RetroPop Live a.p.s. Association, acieloaperto has built its identity on a simple yet powerful idea: offering quality concerts in locations with strong landscape and historical value, while respecting the territory. While the Rocca Malatestiana in Cesena is the heart of the festival, it extends to Villa Torlonia in San Mauro Pascoli, the Parco di Ponente in Cesenatico, and, indeed, the River Park in Santa Sofia, enhancing the entire province of Forlì-Cesena, in Emilia-Romagna.
The choice of Santa Sofia is no accident: the Giorgio Zanniboni River Park stretches along the left bank of the Bidente river for about two kilometers, in the Brusatopa area, on the edge of the Casentinesi Forests. Attending a concert in this setting, with the river flowing nearby and the fresh Apennine air, is a different experience from any urban arena. Nature is not just a backdrop; it becomes an integral part of the evening.
A Roman singer-songwriter with an unmistakable voice, Mannarino blends auteur songs, Mediterranean influences, folk, and rhythms that invite dancing. His concerts are collective celebrations where intimate ballads coexist with songs that ignite the audience. In Santa Sofia, he will bring the best of his repertoire, in an evening designed for those seeking much more than just a concert.
Seeing Mannarino in a river park in the Forlì-Cesena Apennines, far from the hustle and bustle of big cities, is the kind of experience that stays with you. acieloaperto thus confirms its mission: to unite valuable music and extraordinary places, offering one of the most anticipated evenings of the Emilia-Romagna summer.
The 2026 edition of acieloaperto, the fourteenth, is titled «Cuori in fiamme – la musica brucia ancora» (Hearts on Fire – Music Still Burns) and takes place between late June and late August in various locations in Romagna. The Santa Sofia stop, at the Giorgio Zanniboni River Park, is dedicated to the concert by Mannarino, who chooses the Forlì-Cesena Apennines for his only date in Emilia-Romagna. An event that combines great Italian auteur music with one of the most suggestive natural settings on the program.
