The Abestone Hard Enduro World Championship is the Italian round of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship, one of the most extreme and fascinating off-road motorcycle competitions in the world. It takes place in the spectacular setting of Val di Luce, in Abetone, within the municipality of Abetone Cutigliano, in the Province of Pistoia, in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Here, the Tuscan mountains become a natural stage where the planet's top riders test their technique, endurance, and courage against vertical slopes, rocks, mud, and challenging trails.

A story born in 2021

The Abestone adventure began in 2021, when the event, conceived by specialist Michele Bosi, became the Italian stage of the newly formed Hard Enduro World Championship. Some of the first races valid for the world title were held right here in Abetone, helping to write the history of this young yet already legendary discipline. Over the years, the event has grown to become one of the most anticipated and demanding dates on the entire international calendar, attracting athletes from dozens of nations.

Hard Enduro is one of the toughest forms of off-road motorcycling: riders face extreme natural courses where speed is just as important as the ability to overcome prohibitive obstacles. At Abestone, the tracks wind through the woods and slopes of Val di Luce, alternating technical sections that have become iconic for enthusiasts. The event includes various categories designed to accommodate both World Championship champions and amateurs:

• Gold: the professional class, featuring the stars of the World Championship and the Junior World Championship.
• Silver: the intermediate category, dedicated to skilled riders divided by age, with a women's classification.
• Bronze: the amateur tier, open to various categories including Under 40, Over 40, Over 50, and Women.

The program spans several days, with trials, challenges, and finals that culminate in the spectacular final race reserved for the best performers in the discipline.
