A Rattata Sicilian Granita Festival

The third edition of 'A Rattata' took place in Sant'Angelo di Brolo on August 5, 2025, starting at 7:00 PM in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. The event, dedicated to the history and tradition of Sicilian granita, offered the public a sensory and cultural experience through live cooking and tastings.

Visitors were able to savor artisanal granita prepared according to ancient recipes, featuring the most beloved traditional flavors: lemon, almond, coffee, mulberry, and pistachio, all made with genuine local ingredients. The evening was brought to life by the folk group 'I Cariddi', who accompanied the tastings with traditional Sicilian songs and rhythms. The event also featured an awards ceremony for the best granita in the Nebrodi, a highlight of a festival that celebrates the artistry of local master makers in this Nebrodi municipality, in the Province of Messina.
