A Liberation Festival on the Lake Shores

Every year, on April 25th, the Prato di San Lorenzo al Lago in Fiastra, in the Province of Macerata, hosts "25! Fiastra Libera Tutti", the festival with which this village in the Monti Sibillini celebrates Liberation Day from Nazism. More than just an institutional commemoration, it's a day of music, food, and outdoor gatherings, designed to bring together the local community and the many visitors who return to the shores of Lake Fiastra in spring.

From the Earthquake to Rebirth: The Event's History

The event was born in 2018, during a difficult time for the area, as a concrete gesture of support for the population affected by the 2016 earthquake that severely marked the Marche hinterland. Since then, it has become a highly anticipated annual event, capable of combining the memory of the Partisan Resistance — particularly alive in this area of the Apennines — with the desire for recovery and outdoor life. As the organizers emphasize, it is "a beautiful day full of life, smiles, and hugs".

Music, Street Food, and Markets

The program runs from noon until sunset and focuses on live music, with local bands and singer-songwriters taking turns on stage, accompanied by DJ sets. Around the stage, there are numerous street food trucks and craft markets, set against a natural backdrop that makes the lake and the San Lorenzo meadow an ideal setting for spending the day with family or friends.

Two Days of Celebration: the "26 Special"

In recent years, the festival has expanded to two days: April 25th is joined by the "26 Special", which on the following day brings live music, DJ sets, street food, and markets back to the same location, extending the atmosphere of the late April long weekend.

An Event by the Municipality of Fiastra

The event is organized by Mirco Vesprini and Mauro Rosati, with support for street food from Nicolò Cesaretti and Giacomo Piacentini, and enjoys the backing of the Municipality of Fiastra. It's an opportunity to discover one of the most charming villages in the Sibillini Mountains and its lake, easily accessible from Macerata and the entire Marche Region.
