Edition 2025 — Zucchini Flower Fritter Festival
The 46th edition
On Saturday, August 9, 2025, Pisoniano celebrated the forty-sixth edition of its most famous festival. The stalls opened at 7:00 PM in the school area at the entrance to the village, with volunteers from the Pro Loco Pisoniano busy frying zucchini flowers harvested that day.
Alongside the fritters, the menu included porchetta sandwiches, grilled sausages and frankfurters, supplì, French fries, and fresh watermelon. The band Paolo Pietroletti & The Blues Way performed on stage with a blues and soul repertoire that enlivened the evening under the summer sky of the Prenestini Mountains.
The event was part of the traditional Madonna della Neve celebrations, which culminated on August 11th with the procession and the re-enactment of the snowfall miracle. The festival attracted visitors from all over the Aniene Valley and the eastern area of Rome, confirming its status as one of the most popular gastronomic evenings of the summer in the region.
