The 0-6 years education festival at Parco delle Valli
Zero Sei - Early Childhood Education Festival is the spring event that the Municipality of Rome III Montesacro dedicates to the world of early childhood education, from birth to age six. Launched in 2024, the festival transforms the greenery of Parco delle Valli, between the Conca d'Oro and Vigne Nuove neighborhoods, into a vast space for play, discovery, and connection for local families.
The event was created to promote and celebrate the integrated education and schooling system for the zero-to-six age group: municipal nurseries, play areas, and preschools that support children's growth every day. The festival brings together managers, educators, teachers, and families to build a unified and cohesive educational community, where public and private sectors collaborate toward a common goal. It is an opportunity to showcase the daily work of the Municipality's educational and school services and to reflect, together with institutions and families, on the value of the first years of life.
The program spans an entire day outdoors, with free activities suitable for toddlers and their parents. Festival highlights include:
Zero Sei is much more than just a festival: it is a moment where Municipality III, one of the most populous in Rome, puts childhood and the right to education from the very first months of life at the center. Each edition revolves around a core theme that encourages participation and shared responsibility across the entire educational community. The setting of Parco delle Valli, a green lung in the northeast quadrant of the city, offers the ideal space for a day of shared play focused on inclusion and equal opportunities.
The festival is aimed at children attending nurseries, preschools, and primary schools in the Municipality of Rome III Montesacro, their families, and the entire educational community. Admission is free: just head to Parco delle Valli to enjoy a spring day dedicated to the little ones, in the heart of Rome, Lazio.
The third edition of the festival took place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM at Parco delle Valli, with entrance from Via Conca d'Oro at the corner of Via delle Valli. This year's theme, «Educational Alliances: Growing is a Team Game», highlighted the cooperation between institutions, educational services, families, and local organizations, fostering a participatory and inclusive educational community.
Throughout the day, the park hosted workshops, creative play activities, installations, and entertainment moments proposed by managers, educators, and teachers from the educational and school services of the Municipality of Rome III Montesacro, alongside theatrical and musical performances for children and families.
