Edition 2025 — Rome Half Marathon

The second edition of the Wizz Air Rome Half Marathon by Brooks took place on Sunday, October 19, 2025, attracting 18,540 participants from around the world. On the 21.097 km course from the Circus Maximus to the Colosseum, Kenyan runner Simon Maywa won in 59'44", setting a new course record, while Regina Cheptoo took the women's title.

The 2025 edition of the Wizz Air Rome Half Marathon by Brooks, the second for the event, confirmed the race as Italy's most popular half marathon, with 18,540 runners at the start in the heart of Rome. Organized by RomaOstia SSD and RCS Sports & Events with the patronage of Roma Capitale, the race started at the Circus Maximus and finished in front of the Colosseum, crossing the Tiber and passing by Piazza del Popolo, the Spanish Steps, Via del Corso, and Piazza Venezia.

In terms of competition, the edition delivered great performances: Kenyan Simon Maywa crossed the finish line in 59'44", setting a new course record ahead of his compatriots Vincent Kimaiyo and Kaliplus Lomwai, for an all-Kenyan men's podium. Among the women, victory went to Regina Cheptoo. There was great popular participation, with a female turnout of approximately 50% and numerous young people, testifying to an event capable of uniting elite sports and a city-wide celebration.
