The winter feast of Saint Sebastian in January 2025 confirmed the devotional tradition of Palazzolo Acreide. On the day of the solemnity, January 20th, the morning Holy Masses were followed by the blessing of the cuddure, the votive breads offered to the Martyr.
In the late afternoon, the solemn Eucharistic concelebration preceded the Exit and Procession of the Sacred Relics, accompanied by the Akrai Città di Palazzolo Acreide band along the historic streets, up to the scenic Piazza del Popolo, at the foot of the Basilica of Saint Sebastian, in the municipality of Palazzolo Acreide in the province of Syracuse.
