About Wild Roots
A festival for the wild mind
Wild Roots - Festival of the Wild Mind is a non-profit event held in Ome, in Franciacorta, in the province of Brescia. A full day dedicated to the encounter between mind, nature, and community, weaving together well-being, scientific knowledge, and contact with the environment within the setting of the Borgo del Maglio and its Botanical Gardens.
Workshops, talks, and music
The morning is dedicated to workshops (limited places, small groups): yoga and meditation, nature photography, foraging, guided botanical tours, and writing. The afternoon features talks on neuroscience, nature, travel, and spirituality, with book presentations and moments of reflection. The evening concludes with live music, in an intimate atmosphere immersed in greenery.
Non-profit and supporting the Botanical Gardens
Wild Roots is a charitable project: all proceeds are donated to the association that manages the Botanical Gardens of Ome. Afternoon talks are free with a donation, while day passes grant access to one workshop and all afternoon sessions. A virtuous model that combines culture, well-being, and support for the local area, in one of the most evocative corners of Brescia's Franciacorta.
Wild Roots — edition 2026
On Sunday, May 17, 2026, the Borgo del Maglio in Ome, Franciacorta, hosts the second edition of Wild Roots - Festival of the Wild Mind. The day opens with eight morning workshops (groups of maximum 25 people): yoga and meditation, nature photography, foraging, guided botanical tours, and writing.
The afternoon is dedicated to talks on neuroscience, nature, travel, and spirituality, with a book presentation by author Leonardo Piccione, and concludes with live music. All proceeds are donated to the Botanical Gardens of Ome.
