White Carnival of Cegni

On August 16, 2025, the White Carnival of Cegni confirmed its extraordinary appeal, attracting about a thousand tourists to the small village of Alta Val Staffora. The hamlet of Santa Margherita di Staffora came alive with the comic representation of the wedding between 'Il Brutto' and 'La Povera Donna', processions with uncovered faces, and the typical dances of the Quattro Province accompanied by the 'piffero'.

The festival reaffirmed the value of a tradition born in the seventies to keep alive the identity of a mountain village, now among the most characteristic in all of Lombardy.
