Edition 2025 — Threshing of Piosina
From July 16 to 20, 2025, Piosina, a hamlet of Città di Castello, hosted the 42nd edition of the Wheat Threshing Festival, organized by the Pro Loco of Piosina. The event brought together over 500 participants and more than 200 volunteers in the re-enactment of peasant civilization traditions, featuring the captivating night-time threshing in the illuminated area of the Biribino farmhouse.
Mid-20th century peasant cuisine was the star of the gastronomic stands, with handmade tagliatelle with goose sauce, roasts, and braised meats. Five days of celebration included running and cycling races, dances with live orchestras, briscola tournaments, DJ sets, and on Sunday, the solemn Mass and the traditional threshing lunch.

Thursday, July 17

Friday, July 18
- Night mountain bike gathering
- 8:00 PM — opening of gastronomic stands
- 9:00 PM — briscola competition; dancing and show with orchestra «Gavanna Daniela»
- 10:00 PM — DJ set at the sports field, «Briachy Friday»
Saturday, July 19
- Sports activities and exhibitions
- Opening of gastronomic stands and live music
Sunday, July 20
- 10:00 AM — Solemn Mass
- 12:30 PM — threshing lunch
- Closing evening with exhibitions and dancing
The heart of the festival was the night-time threshing at the Biribino farmhouse, with the restored vintage thresher.
