Warm Bread (Cunzato) Festival

In the summer of 2025, the Warm Bread Festival returned to Monforte San Giorgio (ME) in early August, upholding the tradition linked to the feast of Saint George the Martyr. Local women baked pane cunzato seasoned in the Sicilian style, offered for tasting in the historic center alongside local wine.

The evenings were enlivened by live Sicilian music, while on the first Sunday of the month, the patronal feast reached its most solemn moment with the procession of the statue of Saint George through the town streets, accompanied by local brotherhoods and a marching band.
