Edition 2025 — #wallofsounds
/effimerart — 6th edition
The sixth edition of #wallofsounds in Palermo, Sicily, was titled «/effimerart», confirming the festival's vocation to intertwine music and contemporary arts with the city's historic sites.
Among the events, on December 22, 2024, at the Municipal Historical Archives, a tribute concert was held for Stefano Scodanibbio and Fausto Romitelli, followed in the evening by «Palermo come score» by Renato Grieco, an exploration of the relationship between word, voice, and music through the historical and cultural stratification of Sicily. The edition also hosted the site-specific installation «SÉCRETAIRE» by Francesco Simeti, featuring sixteen wallpapers created between 1999 and 2024 in the display cases of the Sala Nuccio Pollaci.
In 2024 as well, the festival confirmed itself as one of the most original events on the experimental scene in Southern Italy, capable of combining sound research with the enhancement of the heritage of the Municipality of Palermo.
