Edition 2025 — Voices from the Middle Ages

The XXIV edition of Voices from the Middle Ages took place on September 27 and 28, 2025, in Cittadella, featuring the medieval market and encampments in the Public Gardens and at Campo della Marta, the opening in Piazza Pierobon, and the re-enactment of Padua's surrender to imperial forces and Ezzelino.

The 2025 edition of Voices from the Middle Ages, the twenty-fourth, was held on September 27 and 28 in the historic centre of Cittadella. On Saturday, September 27, from 4:00 PM, the medieval market and military encampments opened in the Public Gardens and at Campo della Marta; at 6:30 PM, in Piazza Pierobon, the official opening with musicians, jesters, dances, and flag-wavers; at 9:00 PM, the re-enactment of Padua's surrender to imperial forces and Ezzelino. The event also featured historical archery, falconry shows, ancient crafts, and historical games.

Programme

  • Saturday, September 27, 4:00 PM — Opening of the medieval market and military encampments (Public Gardens and Campo della Marta)
  • 6:30 PM — Official opening in Piazza Pierobon with musicians, jesters, dances, and flag-wavers
  • 9:00 PM — Re-enactment of Padua's surrender to imperial forces and Ezzelino (Public Gardens)
  • Historical archery, falconry, ancient crafts, and historical games throughout the event
