Vivilnatale 2025 in Castri di Lecce

On Sunday, December 7, 2025, on Via Pascoli, Castri di Lecce experienced the most anticipated moment of its Christmas season. The Pro Loco, through the Vivilnatale initiative, presented the community tree and nativity scene made entirely of wool: two works born from the patchwork technique and the labor of about fifty women from the village, who dedicated two months to the project. The tree, impressive with its eight meters of height and four meters of diameter, became the symbol of the edition.

From 6:00 PM, the stalls opened and Santa Claus made his entrance, collecting letters from the children. At 7:00 PM, the tree lighting took place, accompanied by Christmas carols. The day was animated by the ChristmasBand and students from the "A. Diaz" Comprehensive Institute, in a celebration that confirmed the participatory spirit of the local community.
