Edition 2025 — Vittoria Colonna in Pescocostanzo

On August 18, 2025, Pescocostanzo hosted the historical re-enactment of Vittoria Colonna, bringing the village back to the year 1535. The Renaissance procession of the Marchioness d'Avalos paraded through the squares and palaces of the historic center, with ladies, knights, and men-at-arms in costume, accompanied by poetry readings and period music.

The 2025 edition of Vittoria Colonna in Pescocostanzo took place on August 18, confirming the annual appointment with the re-enactment of the Marchioness d'Avalos's visit in 1535. Organized by the Tarquinio Vulpes Cultural Association, the day featured the solemn entry of the procession into the village, with the marchioness officially welcomed at the steps of Santa Maria del Colle in the presence of the entire city Universitas.

As per tradition, dozens of participants in Renaissance costumes animated the squares and baronial palaces of the village in L'Aquila, amidst poetry readings dedicated to the poetess and patron Vittoria Colonna, period music, and outdoor theatrical moments, for a re-enactment included in the Ministry of Culture's National Register.
