Viticuso Abbuóto De.C.O. Festival

The 34th Abbuóto De.C.O. Festival was held in Viticuso (Frosinone) on Saturday, August 16, 2025, confirming itself as one of the most authentic events of the Ferragosto holiday in Ciociaria. The day began at 9 AM with the ViticuSANA bike ride along the village's scenic trails and continued with workshops on medicinal herbs and local fauna and visits to the Pop Art museum dedicated to Eduardo Paolozzi. In the late afternoon, the traditional free tasting of abbuóto, the rare De.C.O. sheep-meat sausage included in the Slow Food Ark of Taste, was followed by the opening of the food stalls in Piazza dei Caduti. The street bands Boomerang Orkestra and Sassinfunky enlivened the party until late at night, in a festive atmosphere that brought together residents, returning emigrants, and visitors.
