Viterbo Carnival

The 2025 Viterbo Carnival, the ninth edition of the new era, brought the historic center of Viterbo to life over two days. On Saturday, March 1, starting at 3:00 PM, the grand parade departed from Piazza San Sisto and traveled along via Garibaldi, Piazza Fontana Grande, via Cavour, Piazza del Plebiscito, via Ascenzi, and via Marconi, with a grand finale at Piazza Verdi featuring music and entertainment.

The procession included 19 allegorical floats and costumed groups, including participants from neighboring towns in the Tuscia region, accompanied by the Viterbo marching band, the Ferentum majorettes, and the flag-wavers and musicians of the Pilastro district. On Shrove Tuesday, March 4, the party returned to Piazza Verdi with costumed groups, in an afternoon dedicated primarily to the younger ones.

The edition, which was covered by ANSA with thousands of people in the streets, was made possible with the contribution of the Municipality of Viterbo and the patronage of the Rieti Viterbo Chamber of Commerce and ANCE Viterbo.
