Villachiara in Fermento

A festival uniting the Bassa with Mozambique

Villachiara in Fermento is a summer festival different from the others: behind the five days of music, beer, and fun, there is a solidarity project. The event was born in 2018 on the initiative of a group of young people from Villachiara, a municipality in the Bassa Bresciana in the province of Brescia, united in the association Villachiara in Fermento - Io sto con gli ippopotami (I stand with the hippos). The proceeds from the festival are intended to support development projects in Mozambique.

Music, street food, and beer

For five days, the "Giacomo Favalli" Municipal Sports Field, located on Via Matteotti, transforms into a large festival space with concerts and DJ sets, street food, beer, and entertainment, in a popular summer atmosphere. The event has grown over the years, becoming a reference point for young people in the Bassa Bresciana and for those who want to combine fun with solidarity commitment.

A bridge between two worlds

Villachiara in Fermento has been described as the festival that "unites the Bassa with Mozambique": a small town in the Brescia plain and a distant African country, linked by the energy of a group of volunteers. A formula that makes the festival much more than just a summer event.
