Villachiara in Fermento is a summer festival unlike any other: behind the five days of music, beer, and fun lies a solidarity project. The event was founded in 2018 on the initiative of a group of young people from Villachiara, a municipality in the Bassa Bresciana region of Brescia province, united in the association Villachiara in Fermento - Io sto con gli ippopotami. The proceeds from the festival are used to support development projects in Mozambique.
Music, street food, and beer
For five days, the Municipal Sports Field "Giacomo Favalli", located on Via Matteotti, transforms into a large festival space with concerts and DJ sets, street food, beer, and entertainment, all in a popular summer atmosphere. The event has grown over the years, becoming a reference point for young people in the Bassa Bresciana and for those who want to combine fun with social commitment.
A bridge between two worlds
Villachiara in Fermento has been described as the festival that "connects the Bassa region to Mozambique": a small town in the Brescia plain and a distant African country, linked by the energy of a group of volunteers. A formula that makes the festival much more than just a summer event.

In 2026, Villachiara in Fermento returns for its fifth edition, from July 23rd to 27th, at the Municipal Sports Field "Giacomo Favalli" in Villachiara. Five days of music, street food, beer, and shows, organized by the association Villachiara in Fermento - Io sto con gli ippopotami, with the usual solidarity goal for projects in Mozambique. The evening lineup and detailed program will be released on the association's social media channels.

Villachiara is located in the western Bassa Bresciana, along the Oglio river, about 35 km southwest of Brescia. The "G. Favalli" Sports Field is at Via Matteotti 8.
