Edition 2025 — Villabate Opera Festival

The second edition of the Villabate Opera Festival continued the path started in 2024, confirming the Teatro di Villa Laura as a reference point for opera in the Villabate area, in the province of Palermo. Under the artistic direction of bass-baritone Simone Alaimo, the festival continued to promote young bel canto talent in an intimate setting with accessible admission for the public.

The second edition of the opera festival

Following its 2024 debut, the Villabate Opera Festival held its second edition in 2025, consolidating the cultural project promoted by the Corale Annamaria Pitarresi Alaimo APS together with the Pro Loco of Villabate. The festival maintained its identity: grand opera in the intimate Teatro di Villa Laura, a focus on young performers, and artistic direction entrusted to the famous bass-baritone Simone Alaimo, a distinguished son of the town of Villabate.

In this edition as well, the festival confirmed its popular and educational vocation, offering the public of the Palermo province and Sicily the opportunity to discover melodrama through high-quality productions in the spirit of the Mozartian tradition that characterizes the festival.
