Vetralla Tozzetto Festival

The fourth edition of the Vetralla Tozzetto Festival brought Vetralla to life on November 29-30, 2025, promoted by the Department of Culture and Tourism with Pro Loco Vetralla APS, the Caprarola Hotel School, the Lazio Region, and Lazio Crea. Saturday featured the presentation of the 'Way of Demeter' cultural route, a conference on the confectionery and hazelnut supply chain, cultural walks, and tasting stands. Sunday was the highlight: activities for children at the Municipal Library, a period costume stroll, the Best Vetralla Tozzetto Contest—won by a family recipe—and the 210-centimeter giant tozzetto made by the bakers of La Fornaretta with local bakeries, which was paraded, sliced, and distributed to the public. In the afternoon, the Grand Christmas Parade with marching bands, majorettes, and flag-wavers from Vetralla, Viterbo, and Calvi dell'Umbria crossed the city, before the lighting of the displays in Piazza della Rocca and the tree in Cura with hot chocolate for everyone.
