The international street art festival in the heart of Montegranaro
The Veregra Street Festival is the great street art celebration of Montegranaro, a town in the Province of Fermo in the Marche region, also known by the ancient name of Veregra, from which the festival takes its title. For almost three decades, the event has transformed the historic center into a widespread stage: for four evenings, squares, staircases, and alleys fill with shows, sounds, and wonder, with the public moving freely from one performance to another.
Street theatre, contemporary circus, dance, music, juggling, and acrobatics merge in a borderless program. Every year, hundreds of applications arrive from artists and companies worldwide: for the 2026 edition, over 400 were received from five continents, from Australia to New Zealand, from Chile to Taiwan, and from France, Switzerland, Finland, and Denmark. The artistic direction is entrusted to Alessandra Levantesi, who selects the most interesting names on the international scene each season.
Alongside the shows, the festival offers artistic workshops, photography and contemporary art exhibitions, craft markets, and collateral events. There is also space for children, with entertainment and shows designed for kids and teenagers. Since 2013, the Veregra Street Food section has been a great success, featuring specialties from Marche, national, and international gastronomy.
Admission to all shows is free, thanks also to the support of local economic operators. The event is organized by the Municipality of Montegranaro, with the Departments of Culture and Tourism, and is considered the reference event for street arts at the regional level. Over the years, the festival has grown to involve dozens of companies and attract thousands of visitors from all over the Marche region and beyond.
