Veregra Children Winter is the winter review of theatre dedicated to children, teenagers, and families held in Montegranaro, in the province of Fermo, in the heart of the Marche region. The events take place at the La Perla Cinema-Theatre, the historic municipal theatre on Via Giulio Conventati inaugurated in 1949, and traditionally fall on Saturday afternoons. The event is promoted by the Municipality of Montegranaro together with Proscenio Teatro, within the Teatri In Rete circuit, and represents the winter version of the more famous Veregra Children, the national children's theatre award that the city dedicates to the memory of Otello Sarzi.
A programme designed for families
Each edition offers three shows selected from the best Italian productions of children's theatre: classic and contemporary fairy tales, actor's theatre, puppet theatre with marionettes and puppets, storytelling, and live music. The guest companies come from all over Italy and present titles capable of speaking to both younger children and teenagers, lightly addressing themes such as environmental respect, acceptance of differences, and the value of imagination.

Montegranaro, a town in the Marche region also known for its shoemaking tradition, has built a solid identity linked to theatre for new generations over the years. The Veregra brand, recalling the ancient name of the village, encompasses various initiatives: from the summer Veregra Street Festival dedicated to street art to Veregra Children with the Otello Sarzi National Award. Veregra Children Winter 2026 — VIII Edition
The eighth edition of Veregra Children Winter took place at the La Perla Cinema-Theatre in Montegranaro with three Saturday afternoon events, all at 6:00 PM with doors opening at 5:30 PM. The review, promoted by the Municipality of Montegranaro together with Proscenio Teatro within the Teatri In Rete circuit, confirmed its formula of quality theatre for the little ones.
The Three Shows
- February 7 — "Peter and the Wolf" by the Aida Foundation of Verona, with the recorded narration of Nobel Prize winner Dario Fo and sets by Emanuele Luzzati, for children aged 4 and up.
- March 14 — "The Princess and the Pea" by Febo Teatro (Padua) and Stivalaccio Teatro, winner of the 2025 Otello Sarzi National Award for young companies.
- April 4 — "The Seagull and the Cat" by the Tieffeu company of Perugia, a story about environmental respect and acceptance of differences.
Children's books were distributed free of charge before each show.

- Saturday, April 4, 6:00 PM — "The Seagull and the Cat" (Tieffeu, Perugia), puppet theatre.

By car: A14 Porto Sant'Elpidio exit, then SS210 towards Montegranaro (approx. 15 minutes). By train: Porto Sant'Elpidio station on the Adriatic line, then continue by bus or taxi inland. The nearest airport is Ancona-Falconara.

Saturday afternoon shows, generally at 6:00 PM (doors open at 5:30 PM). Single ticket around €6.50, season ticket for the three shows around €16.50; reduced rate for groups and schools.
