Ventotene Lentil Festival

On Saturday, October 4, 2025, the Ventotene Lentil Festival returned to animate Piazza Castello, starting at 6:30 PM. The evening, organized by the Pro Loco Isola di Ventotene APS, focused on lentils grown by hand on the island's volcanic soil, with tastings of traditional dishes prepared for the occasion.

Compared to the previous edition, held on December 28, 2024, the festival returned to an autumn slot, when Ventotene, after the summer tourist season, returns to its most authentic rhythms. The festival confirmed its role as a moment of identity for the small community of the Pontine municipality, in the province of Latina, and an opportunity to introduce visitors to a legume included in the Slow Food Ark of Taste and among the Traditional Agri-food Products of Lazio.
