Edition 2025 — Valsusa Filmfest Chianocco

The 29th edition of the Valsusa Filmfest (March 28 - June 5, 2025) was dedicated to Mercedes Sosa, the Argentine singer and activist. With 28 events spread across ten municipalities in the Susa Valley—including Chianocco—and two events in Turin, the festival confirmed its itinerant vocation, weaving together cinema, historical memory, environment, and social inclusion.

The 29th edition of the Valsusa Filmfest, held from March 28 to June 5, 2025, was dedicated to Mercedes Sosa (1935-2009), the extraordinary Argentine voice for human rights. The program included 28 events in ten municipalities of the Susa Valley—Condove, Almese, Avigliana, Bardonecchia, Bussoleno, Chianocco, Oulx, San Giorio di Susa, Susa, and Villar Dora—in addition to two events in Turin.

The 2025 Bruno Carli Award was presented in the national section to writer Paolo Cognetti, awarded on April 23 in Villar Dora, and in the local section to actor and director Beppe Gromi, founder of the Fabula Rasa company. Chianocco was also part of the widespread program of this edition, confirming the town's bond with the valley's historic festival.
