The eleventh edition of "A Day as a Sheep"

On November 22 and 23, 2025, Santa Ninfa hosted the eleventh edition of the Valle del Belice Sheep Festival. Saturday saw the official opening of the exhibition spaces in Piazza Libertà and Via Garibaldi at 6 PM, with tastings until 11 PM; on Sunday, the festival continued from 10 AM to 10 PM.

Visitors were able to taste sheep arrosticini, stigghiola, boiled and roasted mutton, pasta with lamb ragù, couscous, soups, local cheeses, and traditional desserts like cannoli and cassatelle. The heart of the event was the Vastedda della Valle del Belice PDO.

The highlight was the free concert by Alberto Urso, a tenor and singer-songwriter from Messina and winner of "Amici", who electrified Piazza Libertà on Saturday evening. A fairground area was set up for children, while free areas for campers, coaches, and motorcycles welcomed the numerous visitors who arrived from all over Western Sicily.
