Val di Peio Agriculture Festival (Fera de Cogol / Desmalgada)

The 2025 edition (September 12-14)

The 2025 Val di Peio Agriculture Festival was held from Friday, September 12 to Sunday, September 14 in Cogolo di Peio, in the heart of the Stelvio National Park, with a large public turnout.

Friday opened the festival with an excursion to Lake Covel to witness sheep shearing with Park Guides, a visit to a local farm, and a traditional dinner in Cogolo with folklore and live music. Saturday was the day of the 42nd Fera de Cogol, with about 130 Brown Swiss heifers exhibited by 18 local farms and judged for the "Queen" title, accompanied by children's workshops, markets, and craft demonstrations, closing with a musical evening. On Sunday, the Desmalgada brought the colorful parade of cows returning from alpine pastures through the village streets, followed by the Palio delle Frazioni, a challenge between the municipality's districts with games inspired by old-time farming life.
