Edition 2025 — Val di Chy Bean Festival

In February 2025, the Municipality of Val di Chy celebrated the traditional Carnival bean festival in the hamlets of Alice Superiore, Pecco, and Lugnacco. Volunteers prepared large cauldrons of beans with pork rinds and salami, renewing a community and charitable event deeply felt by the inhabitants of the Valchiusella valley.

The 2025 edition of the Val di Chy Carnival Bean Festival confirmed the vitality of a tradition deeply rooted in Valchiusella. In the hamlets of Alice Superiore, Pecco, and Lugnacco, volunteers cooked the classic bean stew with pork rinds and salami, distributed to the community during the Carnival festivities. A moment of conviviality and solidarity that, even in 2025, brought young and old together around a dish of Piedmontese peasant memory, in the heart of the winter in the province of Turin.
