Edition 2025 — Vacunalia

The fifth edition of Vacunalia, titled "Sottosopra Sottobosco," took place on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in Vacone, curated by Niccolò Giacomazzi and Carlota Rel. An immersive journey between the historic center and the sacred Pago woods intertwined visual art, music, dance, and cinema, in conjunction with the Sabine village's Autumn Festival.

Vacunalia V "Sottosopra Sottobosco" offered a day of diffused art between the village and the forest floor. At 11:30 AM, musician Gabriel Fischer opened the festival with an introductory sound ritual; at 3:30 PM, dancer Serena Zaccagnini presented a choreography dedicated to the extremities of the body and space; at 5:00 PM, the film festival curated by Nicholas Nahuel Turchi showcased the short film "Pneuma" by Adrià Expòsit-Goy. Gabriele Giugni also created a permanent installation connecting the village to its sacred woods. The edition, supported by the Fons Olei Foundation, Fugu Project, the Municipality of Vacone, and the Pro Loco Vacone, was held in conjunction with the Autumn Festival, blending contemporary art with the gastronomic traditions of the Rieti Sabina region.
