Un Salto nel Passato 2024 — 16th edition
The sixteenth edition of Un Salto nel Passato was held in Baveno on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The event confirmed its long-standing formula, enriched with some new additions.
Around five hundred performers brought the historic center to life, reconstructing the ancient manual arts of the region: stonecutters, blacksmiths, carpenters, laundresses, embroiderers, and wool spinners at work in workshops set up for the occasion. Among that year's novelties were a stone artisan demonstrating historical facade finishing techniques, the Walser historical group from Ornavasso, and a bagpipe player.
Visitors were able to enjoy dishes from the inns and make purchases with Franc Bavenesi, leading up to the evening conclusion with the Diamo fuoco al passato ritual in Piazza Matteotti.
