Umbria Balloon Festival - Trasimeno Night Glow

The Umbria Balloon Festival as a regional programme debuts in 2026: therefore, there is no actual 2025 edition of the event in its current format. The connection between hot air balloons and Lake Trasimeno, however, had already been established by the first editions of the Trasimeno Night Glow in Castiglione del Lago, the evening show of illuminated balloons that had won over the public.

Those first evenings, with thousands of spectators gathered in Castiglione del Lago to admire the hot air balloons lighting up in the dark and reflecting on the water, laid the groundwork for the broader regional festival taking shape in 2026, in the province of Perugia and the rest of Umbria.
