The 2025 edition

In 2025, Ciminna, in the province of Palermo, once again experienced its most evocative night with U Triunfu ra Marunnuzza. The eve saw the community gather around the traditional 'nfriulata, with sausage, stuffed focaccias, and local wine. In the dead of night, the nocturnal procession of the Immaculate Conception wound its way through the streets, departing at 4 AM from the Church of San Francesco d'Assisi and illuminated by asphodel "mazzuna" and "vampe" bonfires. Between stops, acclamations, and folk songs, the small float of the Marunnuzza traversed the historic center until its return at dawn, confirming one of the most ancient religious traditions in Sicily.
