The great sports and community day of Parco Trotter, between Turro and Loreto
The Trotteriadi are the great festival that enlivens Parco Trotter, one of Milan's most beloved and unique places: a former racecourse transformed into a park-school, now a green and civic space in the Turro-Loreto district, in Municipality 2. The event combines sport, education, and community in an open-to-all gathering.
The heart of the Trotteriadi is a day filled with games, competitions, workshops, and shows, primarily designed for children and families. The various stations spread throughout the park transform the green spaces into a large collective playground, where physical activity is accompanied by an educational and playful dimension.
The Trotteriadi are born from the commitment of the Parents' Committee of the Cappelli Comprehensive Institute, the school located within the park, together with the Friends of Parco Trotter. It is a grassroots festival, an expression of the strong social network that revolves around this symbolic place of educational and participatory Milan.
It is difficult to separate the Trotteriadi from their context: Parco Trotter is a historical and pedagogical excellence of Milan, where nature, outdoor schooling, and neighborhood life have coexisted for almost a century. The event celebrates its soul, bringing together young and old for a day of sport, play, and social interaction in the green spaces of Municipality 2.
The 2026 edition of the Trotteriadi will animate Parco Trotter on Saturday, May 9th, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (with a backup date of May 16th in case of bad weather). The park-school of Municipality 2 will transform into a large space for games and celebration for the neighborhood.
The program includes games, competitions, workshops, and shows, primarily designed for children and families. The initiative is organized by the Parents' Committee of I.C. Cappelli together with the Friends of Parco Trotter, with free admission.
