About Trotteriadi

The Trotteriadi are the sports, educational, and community festival of Parco Trotter, the historic park-school in Milan's Turro-Loreto district (Municipality 2). For an entire day, the park comes alive with games, competitions, workshops, and shows designed for children, families, and residents of the neighborhood. Organized by the Parents' Committee of I.C. Cappelli together with the Friends of Parco Trotter, the Trotteriadi celebrate the community spirit of a unique place where school, public green space, and social life have intertwined for generations.

A festival in the heart of Parco Trotter

The Trotteriadi are the great festival that enlivens Parco Trotter, one of Milan's most beloved and unique places: a former racecourse transformed into a park-school, now a green and civic space in the Turro-Loreto district, in Municipality 2. The event combines sport, education, and community in an open-to-all gathering.

Games, competitions, and workshops

The heart of the Trotteriadi is a day filled with games, competitions, workshops, and shows, primarily designed for children and families. The various stations spread throughout the park transform the green spaces into a large collective playground, where physical activity is accompanied by an educational and playful dimension.

A community project

The Trotteriadi are born from the commitment of the Parents' Committee of the Cappelli Comprehensive Institute, the school located within the park, together with the Friends of Parco Trotter. It is a grassroots festival, an expression of the strong social network that revolves around this symbolic place of educational and participatory Milan.

Parco Trotter, a special place

It is difficult to separate the Trotteriadi from their context: Parco Trotter is a historical and pedagogical excellence of Milan, where nature, outdoor schooling, and neighborhood life have coexisted for almost a century. The event celebrates its soul, bringing together young and old for a day of sport, play, and social interaction in the green spaces of Municipality 2.
