1st Trofeo Città di Niscemi 2025

The first edition of the Trofeo Città di Niscemi took place on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in the historic center of Niscemi, with the start and finish in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele III. Organized by A.S.D. Niscemi Running with the patronage of the Municipality and FIDAL/World Athletics (Bronze Label) approval, the race was included as the fourth leg of the Sicily Bronze Races 2025 circuit.

Over 300 athletes from all over Sicily took to the 10 km course, consisting of four 2.5 km laps. The men's race was won by Antonino Recupero (Mega Hobby Sport) in 37'03", while Virginia Salemi (Podistica Messina) triumphed in the women's category in 39'53". The event's patron was local sprinter Alice Mangione, who awarded the top three finishers in each category, celebrating sport, community, and local heritage.
