About Treviso Suona Jazz

Every spring, Treviso transforms into a grand sounding board for jazz. The Treviso Suona Jazz Festival brings concerts, workshops, exhibitions, and film screenings to the most evocative locations in the historic center, from the Sant'Artemio Auditorium to the Loggia dei Cavalieri, as well as the courtyards and venues hosting the Jazz & Food events. Artistically directed by Nicola Bortolanza and organized by the Urbano Contemporaneo association, the festival alternates major international names with young talents, with a formula that has built an affectionate and loyal audience over the years.

A City That Plays Jazz

The Treviso Suona Jazz Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the Treviso spring. Born to bring great African-American music out of concert halls and into the city, the festival uses Treviso as an instrument to make it vibrate: concerts take place at the Sant'Artemio Auditorium, the Loggia dei Cavalieri, Santa Caterina, and in numerous courtyards and venues in the historic center.

Much More Than a Concert Series

Alongside the main concerts, the program offers workshops, exhibitions, film screenings, and Jazz & Food events, which blend music and conviviality in the city's venues. Special attention is given to training, with the Jazz Workshop Orchestra involving emerging musicians under the guidance of top-level instructors.

A Recognizable Signature

Artistically directed by Nicola Bortolanza and organized by Urbano Contemporaneo ETS, the festival has carved out a specific niche in the jazz scene of Veneto and the Northeast. Its ability to alternate internationally renowned names with experimental proposals makes it a reference point for both enthusiasts and those approaching jazz for the first time, right in the heart of Treviso.
