TrappetOlio 2024 — 4th Edition

The fourth edition of TrappetOlio took place over the weekend of November 16-17, 2024, in the heart of the olive harvest season in Trappeto. The event, promoted by the Regional Department of Agriculture together with the Municipality of Trappeto, the "Officine di Efesto" association, and the Pro Loco Trappetum Cannamelarum, celebrated the culture of oil and the rural traditions of the village.

The program alternated between a conference on olive production and agricultural sustainability, an exhibition of rural traditions, local producer markets, and street food stands in the square, as well as workshops for children. Among the specialties was the traditional buccellato prepared with dough seasoned with local oil. Saturday evening was enlivened by a concert by Shakalab, one of the most appreciated Sicilian groups, while Sunday concluded with a raffle of typical products.
