Edition 2025 — Trame Fuori Centro

The first edition of Trame Fuori Centro took place from 20 September to 16 November 2025 in Rome's Municipio VIII, featuring five free street theatre events. A travelling programme of drama tours and drama games with actors, curated by Dramatrà, led the public to discover neighbourhoods from the Appia Antica to Tor Marancia and Valco San Paolo, blending history, memory, and performance.

The 2025 edition

The Trame Fuori Centro festival enlivened the autumn of 2025 in Municipio VIII of Rome with five free street theatre events, from 20 September to 16 November. Conceived by Dramatrà Impresa Sociale, the event transformed the streets of the neighbourhoods south of the capital into open-air stages.

Among the scheduled events, the drama tour Valco San Paolo: Neighbourhood Stories between Modernity and Tradition (4 and 5 October, departing from Piazzale Ostiense) humorously recounted the transformation of the area between the Pyramid of Cestius and the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls, and the drama game Appia Antica South: Ancient Secrets and Legends (18 and 19 October) guided participants along the ancient consular road through memories and legends. All events were free to attend with mandatory booking.

Programme

Five free events in Municipio VIII. These included: 'Valco San Paolo: Neighbourhood Stories between Modernity and Tradition', a drama tour on 4 and 5 October 2025 (Piazzale Ostiense, 60 minutes duration); 'Appia Antica South: Ancient Secrets and Legends', a drama game with actors on 18 and 19 October 2025 (Viale Appio Claudio, 120 minutes duration).
