Trail of the Castle

The sixth edition of the Trail of the Castle was held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, organized by ASD Bike&Run Gorizia with the patronage of the Municipalities of Gorizia and Nova Gorica. The start of the long course was at 9:15 AM from Via Garibaldi, in front of the Verdi Theater, after the gathering and bib collection at the Stella Mattutina gym in Via Nizza.

The 2025 edition offered two courses: a short one of 8 km with 150 m of elevation gain and a long one of 18 km with 300 m of elevation gain. The route crossed the historic center of Gorizia, the ramparts area, the castle park, the Coronini Cronberg park, the Corno Valley, the Rafut area, the Kostanjevica monastery, and the Panovec forest. The race confirmed approximately 600 registrations, with victories by Elisa Pivetti and Alessio Milani.
