A farming tradition in the heart of Seprio
Every year, usually on the first weekend of September, the Tradate Agricultural and Livestock Show opens the autumn events season in the Municipality of Tradate, in the province of Varese. It is an event with a long tradition, which celebrated its 37th edition in 2024 and is preparing to reach its 38th in 2026: an appointment that tells the rural soul of this area of Alto Milanese, halfway between Varese and Milan.
Animals, machinery, and ancient crafts
The heart of the fair remains the livestock exhibition, with farm and backyard animals that recall the agricultural history of the area. Surrounding it are the exhibition of agricultural machinery and vehicles, including vintage tractors and vehicles that delight enthusiasts, and the market of Lombard and Italian food and wine excellences.
For families and children
The Show is also designed for children: rabbit farming lessons, educational workshops, the "baptism of the saddle" to get closer to horses, and afternoon equestrian shows make the day suitable for all ages. There is also a food stall, with the flavors of traditional farming cuisine, and opportunities for discussion, such as conferences on the future of agriculture.
A community celebration
Organized by the Municipal Administration of Tradate with the patronage of the Lombardy Region and the collaboration of the Breeders Association, local agricultural entrepreneurs, and the Pro Loco, the event takes place in the streets and spaces around the municipal sports field on Via Roma. It is a point of reference for the territory, capable of keeping alive the memory of a rural world that in Tradate has never stopped being part of the town's identity.

The 38th edition of the Tradate Agricultural and Livestock Show is scheduled for early September 2026, continuing the tradition of being held on the first weekend of the month. The detailed program is usually published by the Municipality of Tradate in the weeks preceding the event.
Based on recent editions, the event includes a livestock exhibition, a show of vintage agricultural machinery and vehicles, a market of Lombard food and wine excellences, educational workshops for children, "baptism of the saddle" sessions, and equestrian shows. A food stall accompanies the two days.

- Sunday afternoon: equestrian shows and workshops for children, until closing
