Edition 2025 — Bruschetta Festival

In the summer of 2025, the hamlet of Tozzanella, in the Municipality of Tossicia (TE), renewed its appointment with the Bruschetta Festival, organized by the local Pro Loco in the usual early August period. As every year, the village at the foot of the Gran Sasso welcomed residents and visitors with Abruzzese bruschetta in its many variations, traditional peasant dishes, live music, and convivial outdoor tables, in the spirit of devotion to Saint Michael the Archangel.

The Tozzanella Bruschetta Festival confirmed its role as a fixture of the Teramo summer in 2025 as well. In the small village of the Municipality of Tossicia, in Abruzzo, on the edge of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park, the Tozzanella Pro Loco re-proposed the formula that has kept the event alive since 1978: food stands with bruschetta prepared on the spot—with extra virgin olive oil, tomato, sausage, ventricina teramana, and local cheeses—along with other typical Abruzzese dishes and local drinks.

The festival, linked to the feast of Saint Michael the Archangel, combined as always gastronomy, religious moments, live music, and entertainment, attracting inhabitants, returning emigrants, and tourists looking for the most authentic Abruzzo to the village. An edition that served as a prelude to the 30th edition milestone, scheduled for August 2026.
