Edition 2025 — Toscanini Festival

The 2025 edition of the Toscanini Festival took place from June 14 to July 9 in Parma and its province, featuring eleven concerts and a round table. The event opened on June 14 in Piazzale San Francesco with the Toscanini Philharmonic conducted by Riccardo Frizza and cellist Philipp Schupelius (music by Mendelssohn, Haydn, and Beethoven), and closed on July 9 in Piazza Duomo with the Philharmonic conducted by Kristjan Järvi in a program dedicated to Richard Strauss and Richard Wagner. Concerts were also held in Montechiarugolo, Colorno, Sala Baganza, and Busseto.

The 2025 edition of the Toscanini Festival enlivened the summer of Parma and its province from June 14 to July 9, with eleven concerts and a round table spread across the capital and prestigious locations in the region: Montechiarugolo, the Palace of Colorno, Sala Baganza, and Busseto.

The inaugural concert on June 14 in Piazzale San Francesco featured the Toscanini Philharmonic conducted by Riccardo Frizza with cellist Philipp Schupelius, in a program with music by Mendelssohn, Haydn, and Beethoven. The lineup included, among others, Beethoven's Symphonies No. 5 and No. 3 conducted by Maurizio Billi (July 3 at Villa Pallavicino in Busseto, July 4 at the Palace of Colorno) and a chamber music event dedicated to Ravel and Debussy. The grand finale on July 9 in Piazza Duomo was entrusted to the Philharmonic conducted by Kristjan Järvi, with music by Richard Strauss and Richard Wagner. Among the new features of this edition was the debut of the Toscanini Academy – Big Band.
