Toscana Django Spring Festival

The first edition of the spring preview of the Toscana Django Festival took place from May 2nd to 4th, 2025, in Tafoni, a village in San Marcello Piteglio (PT), at the Circolo L'Unione. Designed to provide temporal continuity to the summer event in August, the festival opened on Friday, May 2nd, with the trio of Massimo Tagliata (accordion and piano), followed on Saturday the 3rd by the traditional choir Cardellini del Fontanino and a manouche ensemble with Giangiacomo Rosso, Mathieu Chatelain, and Pippi Dimonte. Sunday was dedicated to student performances from the workshops and a farewell jam session. The three online courses — manouche guitar with Giangiacomo Rosso, singing with Lorenzo Sansoni, and ensemble music with Maurizio Geri — had already started in February. The organization was handled by the Associazione Quintocanto ETS with artistic direction by Maurizio Geri.
