Edition 2025 — Tortone Festival
The 2025 edition of the Tortone Festival in Sperlinga, celebrated on August 16th, marked the 41st edition of the festival and the 21st edition of the Dama dei Castelli di Sicilia. As every year, the day combined the gastronomic tradition of the tortone with the evocative medieval re-enactment.
From the morning, the village streets were filled with performances by flag-wavers, musicians, jugglers, and falconers. In the afternoon, the distribution of tortone and local products accompanied the historical costume parade, with about thirty delegations from the Gallo-Italic lands representing the noble families of the castle. In the evening, the re-enactment of the 1283 siege, the election of the Dama dei Castelli di Sicilia, and the traditional pyromusical fireworks took place at the foot of the fortress.
