Queen of Honey 2025: the nineteenth edition
The nineteenth edition of Tornareccio Queen of Honey was held on Saturday, September 27, and Sunday, September 28, 2025, in the historic center of the Municipality of Tornareccio, in the province of Chieti. The ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday at 11:00 AM opened two days of market exhibitions dedicated to mountain honey and typical Abruzzo products.
The program featured the presentation of the book In the Heart of Nature, the Treasures of Monte Pallano, a mosaic workshop for children in the Church of Santa Vittoria, cooking shows, meetings with veteran beekeepers, and live music in the square. The national Tre Gocce d'Oro competition awarded twenty Abruzzo beekeeping companies, confirming the region as one of the most awarded in Italy. The event also hosted a Belgian delegation from Saint-Nicolas, linked to Tornareccio by a historic twinning. The mayor spoke of an extraordinary edition, blending tradition and solidarity, in anticipation of the 20th anniversary.
