Edition 2025 — Torchlight Descent of Champoluc

On December 30, 2025, the Torchlight Descent of the Ski Instructors of Champoluc lit up the Crest slope in the Monterosa Ski area with the traditional night descent of the Ski School instructors. The lit torches drew a trail of lights down the slopes of Monte Rosa, in a spectacle open to all skiers and concluded by fireworks.

The end-of-year 2025 edition of the Torchlight Descent of the Ski Instructors of Champoluc took place on December 30th on the Crest slope, in Ayas, within the Monterosa Ski area. The instructors from the Ski School descended in a line with lit torches, illuminating the woods and mountain slopes in one of the most spectacular events of the Aosta Valley winter. The descent, open to intermediate skiers upon free registration, was followed by a final fireworks display. This event annually bids farewell to the year at the foot of Monte Rosa, attracting tourists and enthusiasts to the Val d'Ayas.
